Root Canal Treatment

When the pulp inside a tooth becomes infected or inflamed, it can cause severe pain and swelling. Root canal treatment removes the infected pulp, cleans and shapes the canals and seals them. The tooth is then usually protected with a crown.

06 Questions

Root Canal Treatment: your questions.

Is root canal treatment painful?

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and feels much like having a filling. It relieves the pain the infection was causing.

Why do I need a crown after a root canal?
