Composite Filling
A composite filling repairs a tooth damaged by decay or a small fracture using a tooth colored resin. The material bonds to the tooth, so more of your natural tooth can often be kept than with older filling materials.

06 Questions
Composite Filling: your questions.
How long does a composite filling last?
With good oral hygiene, composite fillings can last many years. Very large fillings in back teeth may eventually need a crown.
Can I replace my old metal fillings?
Yes, if they are worn or failing. We will check them and advise whether replacement is worthwhile.
